# 14. How to Update/Reset Master Password

To complete this process, users must be logged into their wallet on any of their devices and remember their current password.<br>

Visit -[ ](https://web.wallet.intmax.io/)[https://wallet.intmax.io](https://wallet.intmax.io/) and  **"Sign In"** with either email or google

## Sign in with Email

Already signed in? Click [here](#reset-master-password) to skip this step&#x20;

1. Continue with Email:

* Click the "***Continue with Email***" button, to sign in or sign up on the INTMAX Wallet using an email service other than Google Mail. e.g (Yahoo Mail, Outlook, or iCloud Mail)

2. Enter Email:

* In this field, Please input your email address.
* Click on the "***Get Code***" Button. and a code will be sent to the email address you have provided to verify your identity.

3. Enter Login Code:

* Please enter the login code sent to the email address you have provided to verify your identity.
* After you have entered the login code, please click on the "***Submit Code***" Button.

## Sign in with Google

1. Sign in with Google
   * Click on the "***Continue with Google***" Button.
   * Please do not use private mode when creating for the first time.
   * By proceeding, you agree to our[ Terms and conditions](https://intmax.io/legal/terms-of-service), and[ Privacy policy](https://intmax.io/legal/privacy-policy).

2. Choose a Google account you want to sign in with

* Select the Google account you would like to sign into the INTMAX Wallet with from the list of available Google accounts in your pop up screen.

## Update Master Password

1. Update your Master Password

   * On the sidebar, Click on the area circled green "***Settings"***

   Please note: This process requires that you are logged in your wallet on any of your device.

2. On the **“*****Settings*****” page,** Tap on **"*****Password Update*****".**&#x20;

7. To proceed, enter your current master password, followed by the new password and confirm new password filed and click **“*****Update Password*****”.**

* Upon changing your master password, a backup PDF file of your wallet will be resent to you. Ensure you have access to the email associated with your wallet account.
* You can only update or reset master password once every 24 hours.
* If you do not remember the current password to complete this step, Click here to learn now to reset it.

Now after confirmation, your master password will be updated.

## Reset Master Password

1. Reset your Master Password: Follow all instructions above until you reach the Password Update screen and click **“*****Forgot Master Password?*****”.**

2. To proceed, enter your password and confirm new password field and click **“*****Reset Password*****”.**
